Driving around the loop at Brigantine the other morning, we noticed a number of Ibises flying around. As we got further along the dike road we came across a gathering of scores, perhaps hundreds, of them, in one of the Brig pools. They were flying across the road in ones and twos, and usually following a predictable flight pattern. Many were against the hazy white sky, but occasionally one would fly lower, against a lovely spring forest background. Over the next 20 minutes we captured hundreds of frames; I haven't had a chance to look at them all, but the colors of this one jumped out at me. The wings look almost as if they were painted in watercolor.
