Taken recently in Port Williams, NS - one of a small flock that landed briefly. Nikon D7100, Tamron 150-600, hand-held, 1/800, f8, manual settings, pattern metering. Processed in LR5.7, and nr with Noise Ninja. Some cleaning up of crud in the water. The reflections in the water are willows on the bank.

    Thanks for looking,

    Richard

good looking bird, the image has a number of issues: the BG is a bit distracting, there isn't much detail in either the blacks or whites and some parts look noisy. A slight head turn would have been ideal. I wish you had better conditions to work with

Could have been an interesting image had the duck moved a little bit forward (avoiding the left darker grass) and had a bit of a head turn. I think the designs in the water would have worked with the bird and its eye color.
