Indeed they are cute! Been told those were Sundevall's roundleaf bats, spotted them one morning while busy getting a cup of coffee at the Centenary Centre in the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve. One of them let out some droppings into my polystyrene cup just filled with coffee, as I lifted my eyes I saw those cutie pies hanging out of a wooden beam in the thatched roof, thought they were quite funny so I took a few shots for the record. Thanks so much for looking, was hoping you would enjoy this:)
Guess what? I have recently discovered there's a species of bat living inside my banana trees, in the garden! They are tiny and very cute. Each and one of them occupy a leaf tube, one that is not yet opened in the middle of the banana tree. They come out at 5pm and fly about like moths. Every tree has one little bat living in it, never had a chance to photograph them and I do not wish to disturb them during the day. I just softly run my hand around the leafs and I can feel them inside, right at the bottom of the tube.
Been living here for the past twenty years or so and did not know those little chaps were close-by. Hope one day I can share some images with you.
Thank you so much for viewing and comments, hope you have a fabulous week-end,
