    Default Cheetah Cub Descending

Hi folks. Just back from an amazing few days in the Sabi Sands.
We visited Singita and Leopard Hills and had some pretty cool sightings.

Have only just imported everything to LR, so will start with one that fits the theme!

We spent some time on our last morning with a female cheetah who had 2 cubs left of her original 5 (lions killed 3!) - and these cubs loved getting up in trees.
Here one of them is jumping from a Marula trunk.

I liked the square crop with the tree beginning in top right corner. About 70% of full frame image.

Beautiful & cute shot, Morkel! It always amazes me that these cubs survive a harsh world filled with lions & heyenas out there!

Hi Morkel, the square crop works well here. The tree trunk runs diagonally is a very strong line and the cub is so adorable. Too bad about the other 3. The Bg and the lighting are great. Loi

Hi Morkel - I agree that the tree works nicely as a leading line. Love the 2 tone cutie. Well done.

    Hello Morkel,

Sweet little cheetah baby and I guess this is just a taste of what's to come:)

Crop works for me 100%, lovely warm colours, great to catch this little chap jumping off the Marula! Some nice detail on the tree trunk and it looks like the termites were busy taking over?

Love the spread toes on that back paw of the cheetah cub and the visible nails...So sorry to hear about his/ her siblings being killed.

Thank you Morkel for sharing, my apologies for commenting so late, a brief one too- load shedding is taking its toll on me

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
