    Beautiful bird, nicely shown. The legs are what they are, you can't make the bird hop onto a perch. Thank you for sharing.

    Nice one Will good colours and details. My only suggestion would be to consider toning down some of the brighter dried grasses.

    I reckon it may be possible to get them to go to a perch higher than the grass if you used some sort of food as a form of enticement.
    What a lovely photo though and love the iridescence in the wing.
