You seem to be having a great time on the beach Joe Lovely image, again I like the blue tones in the BG. The bird is showing a great pose and a good POV. (can you get that deckchair just a few inches lower) Nice work

Hey Will, it was a great morning. I'm spoiled, I think I will specialize in beach chair photography. Now here's the technique... you find a beautiful beach looking west to the ocean so the sun rises behind you. Next you set up your beach chair in the shade, all the other beach goers set up in the sun so they chase the birds in front of where you are set up. Now if your camera is supported by a monopod you can rest the monopod on the webbing of the beach chair so you just have to aim, focus and shoot. I shot over a thousand images in about two hours. A very enjoyable way to enjoy the beach and bird photography. A very enjoyable morning. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

    Hello Joe,

I not only enjoyed viewing your image so much, but you really put a smile on my face with your description of "beach photography", LOL! I am jealous. I have to sweat in the car and the African sun is merciless. No air-conditioning because all windows must stay open (you never know where the sighting happens). I would swop a day in my Game Reserve nearby for an hour on that beach chair of yours:)

This is sweet... the little guy is visibly upset by something or someone, and that someone is NOT you:) Well done in capturing this, well composed, well exposed and I like the colours... but most of all, the pose from the subject - just priceless...

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Kind regards,
We may have a swop in the making, one never knows what the future holds. Thank you for your kind words. I had much pleasure in viewing your Cheetah earlier today. Best regards...

Joe, Great POV and the colors and light of Florida are great. I was at Ft DeSoto about a month ago. Really enjoyed it.
Photographed a bunch of small warblers near East Beach and some Horned Owls just down the beach from East Beach.
Been enjoying your beach chair photography.

nice capture of this delicate bird with an attractive calling pose in soft light. I also like the ocean and the BG, might clean up the sand in the FG a bit

Hi Joseph, Im fine with this shooting angle, and you have captured a great pose - open beak and raised leg, and angled towards you too. I like the layered BG, and beaches are what they are when it comes to what ever is lying around or living in the sand.
