    Default Barred Owl

Photographed in Francis Beidler Forest last week. I was shooting from the walkway looking over and down towards the owl and swamp floor.I wanted to move more left, but that was impossible. I had to remove the post that ran 3/4 of the way up the right edge. A few small areas in bg were cloned. A leaf that was touching the owls tail was also removed. There are 1000 year old Cypress trees in this forest, the owl is sitting on a Cypress knee.

Thought about removing the large branch. Any thought on that much appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

Its looking real good Ed. I love the sharpness and details on the head. Nice details and colours throughout the image. Personally I would remove the large branch, saying that, the image looks good as is. Matter of taste. Nice work

Ed, nice pose, have you tried recovering some details off the neck where it is overexposed?

Looks good. You could perhaps have stepped to the left and eliminate that branch in the background in its entirety?
    Agree about the neck area.

Akos, Not possible, I was stretched over a railing already, as stated in my OP. I should have brought those highlights down,it would have been easy. Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated.

    Troy, Thanks. I should have.

What an incredibly gorgeous pose and shot of this owl!! I didn't mind the branch but the RP looks good.
