Default Re-posting pictures I have already posted elsewhere?

I occasionally post pictures (mostly avian) on another on-line site, where people can comment - but most of the comments are simply "nice shot", or "I like the second one" etc. I sometimes feel that if I post the same images on BPN I would likely get more constructive feedback. So is it acceptable to post an image in, say, the Avian sub forum, that I have previously posted on line elsewhere?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Hi Richard - Absolutely. I know several members who post on multiple forums.

Yes, it is just fine. It can be instructive to get different viewpoints.

I occ. post a bird on a non bird centric site, and the responses are quite distinct from those on BPN. The non bird site cares less for the technical details, more about the visual impact and story telling aspects of the image.

So, a blend of critiques is very helpful!

    Cheers
