    Canon 1DX Canon 500mm f4 & 1.4TC 111 Auto ISO 1250 1/1250 sec f6.3, I brushed over the specular highlights but thought it important to retain their ghost.
    The image was captured on a river in North Wales
    All C&C welcome.

    Great stuff Just noticed the tail is slightly out but good for this species.

    Nicely done Jon, not an easy bird to get right give the length of the tail feathers. Excellent detail throughout, nice job reducing the highlights.

    Jonathan your bird really stands out well from the BG,sharp from head to tail, very nicely done.

    Nice HA and IQ.
    No one else has commented on the sharpness but I think this is a tad oversharpened on the back and shoulders.
    Love that pop of yellow!

    Hi Jon, tack sharp, and I do like the greys and yellows on this fellow. The BG works for me.

    I like the perch, pose, details and composition. Sharpness is on the edge for me. Very well done Jonathan.

    Hi Jon a very fine image with a even finer color/tone rendering !! Really like how you processed this , but agree with Jim regarding the sharpening , mostly visible in the head feathers , but this is really picky and easy to address !!
