    Photographed at Bear Island,SC.

    Shot horizontal, cropped and a small amount of tree trunk on right edge cloned out. A few bg spots smoothed out.
    The sharp light transition on left was part of the background.

    D810 & Tamron 150-600mm @600mm
    ISO 640 f/7.1 1/640 sec
    Tripod/gimbal

    Hi Ed, good choice of comp to suit the pose, and well exposed on the whites. Having said that, I do see a yellow cast on the tail, probably from the perch.

    Always tend to miss the ones with no thumbnail.
    Great shot anyway. As Will says good blacks and whites. Nice subtle hint of detail in the back too.
