I captured this eagle from a boat last week whilst visiting Isle of Mull. It was baited by a mackerel thrown from the boat. Unfortunately for me the weather wasn't the best. It was rain, hailstones, windy, bright sun, dk clouds, changing all the time. It was well worth the trip though, just to see these beautiful birds.

Thanks for looking and for commenting on my Puffins image, much appreciated.

Nice detail Bill. The colors are great. Maybe add just a touch of canvas on the top and left.

Thanks for that John and Ed. You'll love it John. This was a first for me and I also got my first photographs of a Great Northern Diver from the boat

Sounds like you had challenging and variable light conditions!! Very regal bird...and a great look at those large and powerful wings. I like the way the talons are tucked in underneath the tail. I wish for a less steep angle, and for sunlight to hit the face.

Nice flight shot of a great looking raptor. I wish you had better conditions during your firs trip, William.

I hate to sound repetitive but I agree with daniel's comments 100%.
Nice and sharp though with a nice wing position.
The eagle is ever so slightly past you which is too bad. An image taken 1 second earlier may have also helped put a bit more light on the head.
Still a very nice BIF image,
    Gail

Great bird, with good wing position. Agree with comments above; light was not in your favor, as it sometimes isn't.

    Hi Will,

Good to see you managed to get a nice image of the White-tailed Eagle - not so easy when rolling about on the sea!

Looks nice and sharp - and a great wing position. Yes, the light and the angle might have been better - but the best shot is the one you can get!

Sounds like you got all the seasons!

    Regards, Gerald

Agree that it looks a little tightly cropped. Wonderful image otherwise.
