Good snipe shot Chris. Haven't seen a breeding bird around here for years- a few in Winter. At least you don't call a car window "fieldcraft "
Good way to do it though

Very nice looking image Chris. Fantastic details and pose on the bird. Not sure if the perch looks a wee bit bright or not? Great work, and a lovely capture.

Hi chris, these birds make me smile when they crouch in the open thinking maybe we can't see them, nice looking bird very well caught, I know they are not easy so well done getting this fine shot.

Nice pattern and sharpness of the bird, Chris. The lichen covered rock makes an excellent perch

Nice perch and pose. I like the high-key BG. Fill flash would have been great, or creating that effect in post by filling the shadows. Still a pretty cool picture.

I'm a sucker for a good hi-key shot, and I really like this. The bird, the perch, the pose and the comp all very nice. Well done.

Sweet bird. I like the tension in the pose, and that you achieved a wee bit of seperation between the bird's body and the rock. I agree fill flash might have some nice pop to the image. There appears to be some post processing marks visible between the two rocks, particularly noticeably near the bottom of the frame....remove something?

I like the crouching pose, high key effect and composition. Nice image Chris.
