    Default Great Egret coming in.

Had a great time shooting these guys at a small local lake yesterday. Canon 7DII with 100-400II at 278mm. ISO200,f5@2000sec.RAW converted in DPP, sized and sharpened in PS. As always thanks for looking and any input.Name: 029A9155_bpn.jpg

Great position of the bird and the vegetation certainly gives a feel of where he is going. Good stuff.

    Wonderful image Joe!

Love the pose and wingspread, well exposed and the colours look very natural, well processed - super capture, congratulations!

    Kind regards,

You could not have asked for a better incoming landing pose! Nicely detailed, good comp, and I like the tree giving context to the image. Both wings sunlit would have been too good to be true. A smile maker for sure...

Thanks guys. I must admit I had a few frames with this wing position but chose to go with this one showing some of the pine only after seeing Artie post one on his blog showing some extra vegetation and I liked what it added to it.
