This fellow was imaged last weekend, thanks to Roy Van Loo, who has a great spot to work woodies.
The vernal pond was situated in the woods, with the sun coming up behind us. Snacks were served.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

Nice pose, nice background and amazing details on this one, Randy. Exposure looks pretty good as well.

Pictures of these ducks always amaze me, beautiful colours and feather detail which you have captured beautifully, no faults on this cracking piece of work that I can see.

Great detail and color. BG & POV is very pleasing to my eye.

Lovely pose and colors here. The iridescence shows up so well. The only thing that catches my eye are the specular highlights visible in the reflection, yet it appears as though you removed them from the duck. I might try to remove a few from the reflection as well.

Beautiful image Randy! I like the light, exposure control, low angle, IQ and composition.

    Thanks everyone for the input.

Marina - I softened the reflections quite a bit in the water already, but didn't actually do anything to the one at the base of the white patch on the bill.
