    Default Golden-fronted Woodpecker

I miss my home in Yucatan and the woodpecker family. This was taken a few weeks ago a day before I left home. I hope the chicks are well and the parents have a lot of energy to gather food.

I like the way the light seems to creep around the tree and light the bird up, just right. The BG shows nice detail, just blurred enough not to compete with the main subject

Nice Lorant. You have a beautiful bird on an interesting perch. The exposure, colors and sharpness are all excellent. but there are some things that in my opinion detract somewhat from this image.

There are horizontal branches above and below the bird's beak. And there are some blue patches at the lower part of the image. If you could clone those things out, the image would be even better than it already is. In any event, nice work!

Very nice Lorant. The light on the bird is super, the details are nice and sharp. I also like the BG colours. Nice work

Nice pose and excellent light on the bird and tree, Lorant.
