I know the Frame is little bit tight here but on the lower side of the body of the bird is covered with black shadows thats why took the risk of close crop .....

This Image i took two and half years ago......This is the closest i got with my gear at that time , i have Nikon D7000 and Sigma 150-500 lens ...... the Sigma is good but bot that good . I love everything about the lens but now after using the new gear i know what i am missing that days ..... still love this frame and that's why re possess it again and post it here ......

    Nikon -D7000 , Sigma 150-500 mm , f\6.3 , ISO-800

    Enjoy......................

Hi Ritesh. Nice portrait of this interesting looking bird. Good feather detail on the whites. You could perhaps bring out a little more detail on the darker feathers above the eye if that is possible. TFS

I like this a lot in spite of the tight crop, and I agree with David that the blacks could benefit from a little work to reveal more detail. Although the background is clean I do notice a bit of noise in the shadowed area of the bird's breast. Color and pose are excellent. Have you considered adding a little more of that pretty background to give the portrait a little more room? It wouldn't take much and should be relatively easy to do with Photoshop.

Hi Ritesh, a striking subject, love the raise crown and iridescent colours. Looks like the PP issues have been addressed, this looks far better.

Personally I think the kit you have now is the winning ticket, hope to see more.

    Great close up
I persoannly don't think the gear you use is that crucial
If it was I wouldn't be posting !! Too much emphasis on equipment - mainly from those that don't post the big boy stuff !

Love this portrait although I think I might give it a little more room above. Are the whites on this bird's chest normally pure white? If not, I am seeing the whites on the chest looking a little muddy. Well done!

Thanks Marina for the appreciation , Yes white on the birds chest is pure white , but this particular shot is at the little bit early morning shot , thats why i keep it ......

Hey Ritesh, I think the repost looks a lot better - still a little noise on the breast and wing, but doesn't really detract from a very nice colourful image.

    Best wishes, Gerald

    Hi Ritesh,

Set aside techs already discussed at length, I think this is one cool capture of this cute little bird. Of course you can do so much more with your new gear, yet still great to revisit older images and I enjoyed viewing this one.

I like your framing and I am a great fan of close-ups, great colours and the pose is just lovely. I too think your RP takes it up a notch, keep up the good work and have fun with processing -I look forward to your next image

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Besides the noise on the breast, the rest looks great. Very nice portrait!
