This food transfer is one of many mating rituals that these Western Grebes perform. Shot from lake edge on tripod. D4 600mm with 1.4tc, ISO 800, F7.1, 1/3200sec. Thanks always for your helpful CC's

    Glenn:

You have captured their behaviour well, exposure controlled, those brilliant eyes, all well done.

Really handsome birds. I could see a minor slice off the top if you don't mind the extreme pano look.

    Cheers

I like the behaviour, IQ, exposure, water color, composition and those red eyes are amazing. A real beauty Glenn!

love the interaction Glenn, sharp details and good exposure, I see subtle green cast but everything else is great

Hi Glenn very nice interaction shot with good color and overall tones /detail .
Love the eyes !!!! I would prefer a bit more room on bottom and less on top if this was mine .

Wow, excellent behaviour from these grebes that you show us here! Even the reflections are nicely warped. Techs, processing, all look good. As posted I'd take a bout 1/2" off the top and add it below.

Killer behavior you have captured of this pair, Glen!!! I think you need a slight CW rotation. If you check the eye of the male, it's not matching up with its reflections. I would crop it a bit tighter too. Wish this were mine!

Great looking frame Glenn. That was a nice morning with the Grebes. Nice intimate food transfer between the two. Techs and details look great but I might tighten up the comp a little also.

The whites look really bright. Was the light pretty high?
    Wonderful behaviour captured.
