    Pied Flycatcher.
Another with the same camera settings as the perchingone posted previously. Seems to be spot on for blacks and whites so as I said before I left well alone.
Nothing done from camera excpt neat image and cropping.

Any one who has done these knows how hard it is to get the blacks and whites right.
    Thanks for looking.

Hi John, good HA, and yes, you did manage the blacks and whites well enough. I do like the ripples, and I feel the reflection is good enough to leave in.

I like the sharpness, exposure control, setting and composition. Nice image John.

Cracker John, you certainly nailed this one. A rarity up here. Blacks/whites perfect. Oh how I wish I had a set up like yours . Great work.

Off to Mull tomorrow, so heres hoping for better weather

You're getting a great variety of species at this pool John - not that I'm envious or anything!

This is definitely one of my favourites from the pond, nicely handled techs, great head angle, and the setting which suits you perfectly

A seriously good shot. Superb detail and exposure, a sweet head turn and a shot that has John Robinson written all over it (not literally of course). Go to top the class young man
