    Norm:

    Very nice colors on bird, good pose, catchlight.

    Some noise in areas on the bird. Your ISO was nice and low, but did this need to have the exposure increased in post?

    Although the perch shows the bird well, it is a bit overwhelming.

    I can't remember whether I increased exposure. I may have a little in Camera Raw, but not much if at all. I agree about the perch not being ideal.

    Norm:

    Just removing the top arm that points right towards his head would greatly reduce the impact of the perch.

    Thanks again Randy. Getting that part of the perch out of the bird's face does help.

    Yes< second one better What an amazing green on the bird ! I would have preferred a little something in the Bg but whatever . Interesting stuff.

    Hi Norm, what striking green plumage this fellow has, and before your repost, I quite liked the vertical part of the perch - it framed the bird nicely. Having seen your repost, it does work better.
