That is a really beautiful image, Freddy. What a great looking bird. The top-side view of the detailed plumage, the sharpness, the over the shoulder look-back... all great. Kudos!

Knowing how fast these beauties fly, I'm speechless. Sharp as it gets and a wonderful display of his back and tail.

OTT Freddie...HAP can't touch you IMO.
Because of the details topside, I think a the slightly retreating flight is fully acceptable.
Sharpening is "right on" sir :)

bib big cograts on this one

A beautiful display of the colors and patterns of this bird, Freddy, I love the over-the-shoulder glance.

Great light and details. I hope they will stay for a while and you will get more chances to photograph them. What shutter speed and ISO did you use?

Axel this was shot 320 ISO F.7.1 @ 1/700s I was walking the beach going after some peeps he was mixed in with the crowed. I started to get close to him he did not mind that I was there. I was firing away and he was coming closer and closer to me. an Osprey flew over and every bird took off that is how I got him. by the way I counted 63 Skimmers yesterday. they were all sitting on the beach. the Terns are all here
