    A lovely bird and well captured. Good control of the whites and a nice head turn. It looks really pretty with the blossom.

    Hi Karl, I like the way you have curved the branch 'perch' and the colours of the subtle background compliment the flowers nicely. Personally I would suggest going for a higher SS, the 5D can take the ISO and the images will be better. I get the impression the eye has been lightened slightly, if it's on a layer then just knock back the opacity a little.

    I like the composition and the beautiful colours of the bird - I haven't seen one of these before.
    I have to admit I wondered if the eye had been brightened a bit, it is not often we see the iris and pupil so clearly delineated. - I eat humble pies in advance maybe I am wrong and it hasn't been enhanced!
