I love to see light used in a non conventional manner so this really appeals to me.

Great low shooting angle and nice head angle

Chris love the moody arty feel to this and the angle of your shot, nit picking but the feathers on the bird do look a little hard on my monitor, if it's right for you then please ignore, this is the sort of image I really like, thanks for giving us a look.

    Cheers Keith.

Chris this rings my bell and yanks my chain! Love the lighting and the exposure, a really unusual shot. You have quite a sizable base on the image but I think in this case it works well. I think this would do well in club competition.

Yes nice one Chris. Lighting just right and bird nice and sharp. Welcome bg detail
Almost identical to the site we have here for these- except its usually sheep in the back !
Just that big diagonal band through the head but no big deal- that is really nitting !

Sweet. Beautiful lighting, nice habitat, great pose. I like everything about it except that the sharpening looks just a tiny bit crunchy on my screen.

Nice image Chris. I like the setting, pose, exposure and composition wise I would come up from the bottom a bit to minimize the OOF foreground but that is personal preference. I agree that its a little over sharpened.

Hi Chris, love the low shooting angle, and I do like the angled pose. The light is cast perfectly on the Lark, and he pops nicely against the darker BG.
