    Default Low Flying African Jacana

This is a first for me of a Jacana in flight. Normally we see images of these guys walking across Lily Pads, so I was very happy to get him against a water BG, together with some Lily pads in the BG. Taken in the Pilanesberg National Park last Sunday.

Stuart don't think there is anything I would like to change this all looks very good to me, it's a wonder those great big feet don't make them back heavy in flight, well done catching this and thanks for giving us a look.

Hey Stu, cool BIF, love the trailing legs and the pads give context. Wonder if a sliver off the top may add???

    Hi Stu
Good one. Nice with some BG in too. Baybe a tiny bit of canvas on the left would help but no big deal.
    Pleasant picture whatever.

Thanks a stack everyone. Here is my repost with Steve's suggestion. For the record, the eye is exactly in the top ROT's.

Has a bit more about it Stu now I think, WDYT? Oh, I might just reduce that hotspot on the Lilly pad.

    Cheers matey.

Stu you have posted some good images but wow this is the bee's knees. I know how tricky it is to get a shot of these birds in flight, you nailed it that is a terrific shot. The details and the light and the background are just idyllic.

Nice flight shot Stuart, showing part of the habitat. It is always good to have a first. I also had a few BIF first this winter.

Wonderful flight shot, with those great trailing feet. Can't quibble about the wing position when this is the only flight shot I've seen of this species. I'd be tickled pink.

Hi Stu - Great flight shot with the trailing legs and the lily pads adding context. Nice detail and light too. I prefer the rp and agree with Steve about the hotspot. Nice one.
