Hi, Mitch, I like the composition except for the placement of the far shoreline - I wish it didn't intersect the grasses up so high. I'm also a little conflicted about the colors in the heron - at first I didn't like them but now I'm not so sure.

The light on the heron looks like it is coming from the left, so I might try to lighten some of the grasses. Might be my eyes, but the horizon looks off a bit. I do like the simplicity of the composition and the colours.

A lovely peaceful scene. I really like the effect of the grasses. But I also am not so sure about the heron colors, especially that electric blue.

I like it as is, but I'd probably have lightened the effect on the Heron. Some good advice above. TFS
