Hi Charlene, a huge welcome to BPN, and to the avian forum - Im sure you will enjoy the ride. A great close up of this Juvie, and you have brought out the colours perfectly. Overall sharp, and I like the thin diagonal perch. In a perfect world, a slightly better HA ( head angle ) would have raised this a few more notches. Looking forward to more.
Welcome!
very nice frame of this colorful KF. Good exposure and details, I like how both feet are visible but like Stuart, I would also prefer a more head turn towards the viewer. The BG was a bit busy here and distracts for the KF

Warm welcome, agree with above comments, think this lovely little bird would stand out better against a less busy BG that said we have to take our shots where the bird decides to perch, the head angle is not a problem for me, very nice shot Charlene looking forward to more.
Keith.
Hello Charlene.
Iam sure you will enjoy the forum. It can be a little daunting at first ! This is a good shot to open with. Its aways difficult with the white cheek patch on these like on our species. I don't find the BG toobad except for the one stem going up into the bird from the bottom. Nice picture whatever.
Cheers
John
Thanks Stu ,will keep the eye contact in mind.
Thanks John for the good advice.
Thanks Keith ,will look at the background.
Thanks Arash .will be looking at the head angle.
Welcome to BPN!! Cute little fella. Sharp, well exposed, and perched on a neat stem. I like the sort of drooped wing. As mentioned, a better head angle would given a better connection to the audience. BG is what it is...sometimes just moving a step or two in either direction gives a better option (unless of course you are sitting in a blind).
Looking forward to more from you!
Thank you
