Hi Doug - Welcome to the Wildlife Forum! It's always nice to see cute fox pups/kits. Looks like you had nice, warm light and the catchlights in the eye gives it a lift. Is that a house or other structure in the bg? Any where they were away from it and the logs? Your image does not have an embedded color profile so depending on the browser people are using there may be a shift in color. It's always best to embed a sRGB profile for displaying on the web. I would crop some off the bottom and create more of a pano.

It would be great to get your thoughts on other peoples' images too. We recommend commenting on at least 3-5 other wildlife images each time you post one of your own. It helps foster a sense of community and allows us all to learn from each other. The comments don't have to be technical in nature. Just tell us what you like or don't like about an image. Looking forward to seeing more of your wildlife images.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Wow, with the sRGB color profile, it looks much warmer to me. I might reduce the reds a bit.

Thanks for the pointers. Those are more logs in the bg. They should start to move away from their den in the next few days, so hopefully I can get some shots with a better background.

    Hello Doug,

A warm welcome to the Wildlife Forum!

Great capture of those special little foxes, such busy bodies and I bet they gave you a hard time, not easy to compose when they move around constantly and sniffle everything!

I like the eye contact you got there from one of those characters, the background a tad busy but I suppose you had not much choice, did you by any chance manage a few frames from other angles too?

Techs look good and this is well exposed, Rachel has already given you good advice and I am inclined to agree with Haseeb above about noise reduction/blur. Should you require more feedback, it would be great if you told us more about your processing steps and what you were trying to achieve. As well as mention the software you are using. Let us see what the others think, I personally feel the subjects would benefit from a tad more sharpening, what do you think?

Great to see you posting here and I certainly look forward to more from you, please do not be shy to tell us what you think of our images as well

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Doug, the ladies have covered the main points, although personal choice, I might change the crop slightly to hide the shadow behind the wood panelling.

My only additional thought is that the subjects need sharpening, all Digital images require this, as they are for all intense purposes 'soft' so to speak.

    Look forward to more.

PS I would also suggest you put any © mark away from the subjects as it's a little distracting, corners of an image are quite good.
