This white crowned sparrow was photographed near a feeding station I kept in the woods a ways back. He is responding to audio that I'm playing. A pop up blind was used. Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso400, f9, 1/500, shot vertically, small crop, USM to the subject and perch. Comments and critiques welcome.
    Regards,
    Shawn Zierman.

Very very nice, can't get much better a background. Incredibly nice "no distraction" image. If I were to pick a nit, a small one for sure, I prefer to not see the branch come exactly from the corner, perhaps a bit offset to the left in the same manner as the branch exiting top left. So much nicer when you can be closer with these small birds, no doubt about that.

Gorgeous image with wonderful color pallet. Colors of BG and perch nicely complimenting with sparrow.
Superb fine details and lovely composition.

    Satish.

Nicely done Shawn! A good solid, plain and simple shot. Really like this one. TFS.

A beauty! We don not often see these guys calling in photographs, good one! I like the perch, BG, techs, processing. The vertical composition is nice, but I could see a version with the sparrow a little lower in the frame.

I like the calling pose, details, exposure, sharpness, complimentary BG and composition. The perch has a lot of character. Excellent image Shawn!
