Juvenile Peregrine
This is a juvenile peregrine falcon that I photographed in Point Reyes shore last summer.
shot with the 1DX and EF 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4X III. ISO 2000. f/5.6 at 1/3200sec. hand held. processed with DPP 4. I wish the birds were not banded, I thought about removing the band in post, but it was too much work, hope you like this image.

Great looking shot Arash. I like the HA and the hanging feet. Nice color and details and I really like the foliage in the BG. I also wish it wasn't banded but not much you can do about that. Well done

Excellent flight shot. Superb IQ. Very nice pose giving 3D look in the frame with full upward wing, superb HA and nice talons. Great details and beautiful composition.
Regards,
Satish.

Hi Arash,
The texture of the plumage looks fabulous! A very beautiful bird and the image quality is predictably outstanding.
Thanks for sharing, Gerald

WoW all the detail puts it over the top for me! Did you use the shadow slider in DPP to brighten the under-wing and lower chest or was there already enough light there?

Arash it almost jumps out of the frame, beautiful piece of photography.

Wonderful dynamic pose with your usual fine techs. The BG is busier than your usual approach, but it puts the bird in context with a 3D feeling; the vegetation in the lower right is especially nice; the rest maybe a little busy. With your PP skills removing the band would be a piece of cake, but it doesn't bother me.

Some people put 3D specs on to look at an image like this, we can see it without them 10/10

Hey Joe, the light was there, this was taken right before the sunset with sun above the ocean providing nice soft light

Thanks Bill, trust me it's not easy, it covers all of the right foot so I don't have anything to clone from.
