Default THEME: Clay Colored Sparrow in the rasperberries.

A sweet little bird of the open areas and secondary growth. I often find them in raspberry patches. Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso800, 1/1800, f8, small crop, selective NR to the bg, selective USM to the subject. Audio used as an attractant. The song is pitiful, but the bird sings it for all he's worth! Comments and critiques welcome.
    Regards,
    Shawn Zierman.

Nicely positioned and the bright light on the bird is great. With just a hint of a BG which in my opinion is good

My goodness, what a beautiful image. Love the habitat elements and of course the little songster is well photographed.

I like the calling pose and the light, the OOF branches in the BG, especially the one sticking out of the sparrow is distracting.

The bird looks great as always but the perch and BG are a little messy for me. I'm sure it was as good as you could get. Well done Shawn.

Shawn agree with Arash about the oof branch sticking out of the back of the bird, the rest is great love the singing pose and the bird itself looks spot on!

Great looking bird Shawn. Lovely pose, HA and POV. Nice details and sharpness on the feathers. The branches do draw the eye away from the bird, although, some see this as a 'natural' looking scene. Thanks for sharing
