Default Dawn of the Dragon - Into the Light

Ok, it's really sunset but "dusk of the dragon" just didn't sound right. Topaz Impression as well as some help from Nik CEP.

This is just the head of the 350 foot dragon that Ricardo Breceda installed in the desert outside of Borrego Springs, California. There are over 130 of his sculptures installed in just this area alone. Of course this makes me think of Dune and the Shai-Hulud, the giant sandworms that inhabited the dune planet of Arrakis. It is an interesting sculpture, having the head of a dragon, the body of a serpent, and the tail of a rattlesnake.

Here's a shot of the whole dragon so you can see the size of it. Very cool!

Great timing and position to begin with. The processing and composition are both top-notch. Good feeling of depth, too.

Very powerful Kerry. Love the sunburst over the head, and the eye is cool and very ominous looking. Great colours and processing.

    Wow, definitely Dune-ish.

Excellent processing. The dramatic colors are perfect for this subject. I like the sun flare. Strange sculptures.
