Beautiful capture, Bill. Nice light, BG and great perch including the the tall flowering stem.

Ah man, I could tell this one was the bees knees before I even opened it. Gorgeous image Bill. On goldenrod too! I'm jealous. The goldenrod heads give such a great sense of scale for this small sparrow. The composition while simple, is exquisite.....Great light quality, and very nice singing pose. A Cracker sir!

Excellent! I love the umbrella top of the perch. Ditto Shawn's remarks. Really well done.

A striking image. I will keep this in mind as a good example of compositing for small in the frame subjects, not something that I'm good at. This is classic.

love the pose, the light, the perch and the BG. I love the goldenrod that not only provides a scale to gauge the size of this delicate bird but also balances the composition perfectly. I wish it was in focus though, which is probably not possible in a single frame, some focus stacking would pay large dividends here

Beautiful frame Bill. I really like the perch and it's placement in the frame. The colors and details look great too. Well done

Thank you all for looking, and for the kind words. Yes, Arash, focus stacking would have been just the ticket here.

Everything works here. Even the BG compliments the sparrow and the goldenrod.
