It was a blur, don't know how it got so unblurry. Poster edges twice, craquelure, colour and tonal adjustments in CS6 and Photokit (vivid chrome preset). High pass filter. Full frame, it gave me the feeling that Bilbo Baggins could be around the corner

I very much like the colors and texture. The aspect ratio is very appealing, too, although -- with the strong verticals -- it took me a while to realize it was square. Did you apply the shapes on the edges? It's interesting that the texture of the bark seems to show through.

Yes, color and texture are working very well in this image. I like the earthy tones and deep textures of the tree. Nice job!

Yes Dennis, I bought the Vista collection from Belle Fleur which are masks and gradients. This was a mask with darkened corners (black) which then set at multiply at reduced opacity. I am not a fan of darkened corners too much when the change from light to dark is too great. But just my bias! Thanks for the comments!

Hi, Jackie, lovely earthy tones on this one and I like the different textures. Definitely Baggins-ish.

Beautiful subtle colors and textures. Strong lines and composition.
Maybe "blurs" should be a theme.
