    Default Itchy the Squirrel

    Canon 5D Mk3
    f/4 500mm
    f/6.3
    1/800
    ISO 3200

I was out photographing birds yesterday, baiting them with seed, when this little guy appeared and started to eat the seed, then gave me this photoshoot being itchy. I thought it was cute

    Thanks for having a look,

    Will

    This is priceless, William!

Viewing on my laptop at work, will take another look tonight on the big screen. Looks good, well exposed, and some lovely detail on this character, love the blur there from the foot:)

Chat later, have a lovely day,

What a hoot! Looks grand. Did this little bugger succeed in relieving itself of the itch??? Detail is grand, those ears are amazing. Can you tell me please what type of squirrel this is? Not being from your part of the world this is one I am unfamiliar with.

    Thanks!

    Hi Bill

Thanks for viewing, much appreciated. This is a Red Squirrel, photographed at Tentsmuir Forest in Fife. Here is a link that will tell you all about this beautiful animal

Yes he finally stopped the itching and ate the rest of my bird seed

Aww, sweet indeed! Now I had a proper look...You got a knack for those sequences, William - this is fun and the expression on the subject's face is priceless...

Going to have a look at that link now now...just wanted to thank you again for your contribution in this forum and to say I really enjoy your images The colours here are great and the subject pops nicely against the BG, well exposed too, nice detail in the whites...Must be quite a thing to keep the FP on the face, these guys move so fast:)

Cannot wait for your next post...

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi William - Very cute sequence. Love the tufts and the way it is leaning on its front paw. Nice detail too.
