    Stuart:

The titmouse is very nice, nice profile, seed, catchlight and pupil. Yes, the wing looks a sliver darker than I usually see, but not a problem for me.

The bulk of the trunk does provide a framing effect, but it is massive enough that I might consider trying to lower the luminosity of the horn in front of the face, to reduce its impact.

Depending on how you feel about pruning, the horn part just in front of the face could be 'truncated' a bit to reduce its impact.

    Cheers

You have done a terrific job exposing for your bird and it has plenty of feather details and a nice pose with the seed in its beak. For me the tree is quite distracting and takes away from your lovely bird. If this is a set up, you may wish to setup a perch near the feeding station for the photography.

I'm with Marina, if a setup try placing seeds in a better spot. Perhaps near the top part of this log would work.

The subject does look nice as posted, it just needs a better place to land on. Very good background BTW...make sure it is still nice like this if you do move the perch.

i cant move that perch but i am going to trim it a little next time i make it back there. in the mean time i have been working very hard at trying to learn photoshop to help remove branches and other junk. i was able to clean the perch up a little and sharpen it just a bit.
