Default TIC TAC TOE ANYONE - THEME

On my grand dog walks this January in Indiana, I encountered this long lasting struggle between man and nature. The tree over the years had grown around the strands of wire. PP included a Topaz Simplify watercolor base with a couple multiply blended black line Fractalius layers. I tuned it up with Nik CEP4 tonal contrast and detail extractor. I also warmed it up but can't remember how.

It's been quite a while since I've seen a tree growing around fence wire, so it recalls some early memories. Your processing on this is extraordinary. It really brings out the detail and texture. I like the warmth, too.

A unique find plus imaginative eye to see the tic tac doe....plus a smile in the middle. Nice. (just wondering if you have a pic from farther back that might show more of the tic tac doe image)

    Hello Gary,

My first thought when I opened this thumbnail was " a chained tree", or " a prisoner of mankind". Very symbolic, this image can be interpreted in so many ways and needs no text or explanation - it moves the viewer.

I hope your grand dog walks bring about more interesting images like this, I will certainly look out for your images in the future. Well processed and quite dramatic - I enjoyed viewing, thank you for sharing:)

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Dennis, Hazel and Gabriela thank you for the kind positive comments. Hazel, I do not have an image with an expanded view. Beyond the margins of this image, things got messy.

Beautiful textures, shapes, colors. Excellent processing. I can almost reach out and feel the bark of this tree.

I find this exceptional. Visual interest and balance is present throughout the 'canvas'.

Very creative, and well processed. It does feel very real.
