We came across a mother & calf early in the morning light, both were quite content in grazing, but the curiosity got the better of this wee guy who just simply watched and chewed.

In all my years of visiting Game Parks teaming with rhino, I have yet to capture a close-up of a little fellow like this...it just hasn't happened yet:)
This is lovely - perfect framing and F8 works so well, lovely detail where needed and the subject pops nicely against the BG. I like the behavioural aspect with the little one munching on those bits of grass, eyes wide open a big bonus here, fabulous light and colours.
It all works just so well - I am a tad jealous of this one Steve, to me your best image of this species from what I have seen, congratulations Sir
This little one brings a warmth to my heart, a symbol of Hope.
Tight crop works, F8 very effective.
Sharp where it matters; the grass in mouth adds to the impact.
I would have been tempted to clone out the blade of grass over lip, did you blur it a bit?
No detail in shadows work here, once again I would have been tempted to lift it...?
Hi Steve - He certainly was a cutie and I like the portrait orientation and the grass in the mouth is a bonus. DOF works well. Having the benefit of having been there I think you could still go a touch warmer (not something you usually hear from me).
very nice image, as usual. I like it as it is, also might would add a touch warmer like Rachel suggests.
Just a slight thing, I would prefer a tad more room for the feet in this one. This is just me, which cuts them off sometimes
