    Great pose and excellent detail !

    Looks like some pretty harsh light made it a bit contrasty and hot on the chest.
    Would like to see more room on the left.

    A beautiful swallow and interesting pose. The light is harsh and a little room needed on the left. It these guys are around where you can visit frequently, I'd be paying them a lot of visits.

    Thanks for the good comments.
    The light was indeed harsh; as it was mid-morning blazing sun; surely a far less than ideal time of day to be shooting.
    I agree the chest has a hot spot, but that's the price I paid while trying to expose to preserve a dark bird's highlights.
    I'm sure there's a better way to accomplish this, and I welcome technique suggestions to overcome this.

    Well I cant help you on the light and dark hot contrast issues here. But your efforts are to be applauded for trying. Nice capture on the color spread with the harsh light.
