This picture when I showed it to some friends loved it.

This is a shot of a few months ago on the shores of Lake Maggiore.

Do you think can be improved?

I really like it. The placement of the two birds is just about perfect.

The only improvement I woudl make is to remove your watermark in the bottom right - because the whole picture is mono it is fighting too hard for attention

Absolutely YES! More than OK. This is very well balanced. Is this right out of the camera? The background (BG) is perfect for this silhouette. Love the uplifted leg on the Heron and the out-of focus (OOF) Cormorant. Very difficult to get photos like this to "work"... you did GREAT!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

I ask the moderators; but now I can put it in this photograph "Avian" or not?

This is an excellent image, and the smaller watermark is much less distracting.

I don't know the answer to whether it is OK to put the same image in two forums -- I think I remember a while ago that someone said it wasn't OK, but I'll let the Avian moderators answer that for you.

Hi Gianluca - This to me is your best image posted so. Well seen and executed. Just watch the halos around the silhouetted heron.

    Rachel

This is a pleasure to view. Art in an unexpected place. And having the vision to see it and bring it out. Congratulations.
