A rare visit to the pool today by this little gem but it refused to put its head right !
So you take what you can get ! May be nesting nearby so there will be more chances I hope.
Strange how the colours of the bird are designed to hide the bird on tree bark where it feeds, and so it stands out like a sore thumb in the water !!

Thanks for comments on last image.

    High quality photo!
Please tell me the scientific name this bird?

in Italy not exist (my opinion; would seem a relative of "Rampichino" Certhia brachydactyla)

Always looking for your pool shots, what a diverse collection of birds taken in a very difficult situation with the light. Keep them coming, well done as usual.

Really like how the color of the bird blends well with the surrounding colors. Pity about the HA not been perfect but still a great photo!

nice capture John, there must be something in the water, attracting so many different birds, you want to start bottling it,and selling it.
