Image taken in the Kalahari in February this year - would have loved to get closer, but not possible at the time

I love this forum and often try to find time to view and comment - have not had many opportunities to capture avian species lately, but would like to participate with an image every now and then. This is not my best capture of the species, hope to find time at the week-end to go back to some previous folders and reprocess some avian images I have not shared yet.

Thank you so much for viewing - critique appreciated, be it technical or otherwise.

    Kind regards,

Hi Gabriela, what a fantastic capture. You got the comp spot on to show off this beautiful bird along with a lovely perch. I love the details, pose and HA on the bird. The whole frame blends very well with the BG colour, and I love the one foot still touching the perch which means you are seeing bird and perch as 'one', both showing great detail. Beautiful frame and thanks for sharing.

This is masterful. I love the pose by the bird, almost like is running in mid air! and those red eye are stunning! Superb details and sharpness through out!

You know I like take-off frames and I must say that this one is really impressive!! The full stretched out pose with the one toe touching is perfect!! The techs and details look great also and I like the good look at that red eye. Can't stop looking at this!

Hi Gabriela, can only echo David's comments, nicely processed too. The bright blue sky provides a great backdrop for the image to really pop! A cracking species.

Wow Gabriela that is a gem great timing and beautiful colours. Can't reall criticize it, if I was really pushed I would suggest toning down the foot a little.
