    Default THEME: Rapunzel, Rapunzel...

let down your long golden hair!

This is a palm tree with the setting sun glowing through the fronds. In PS I used angled strokes and accented glow. From Flaming Pear I used kyoto color. I did this awhile ago as I am still absorbed in unpacking and arranging a household of stuff from my move to Arkansas last week! Just got my computer hooked up so at least now I can get back on-line.

An imaginative title and very striking image. The colors are great on their own, but the lighting adds extra magic. The strong, angled lines add a lot, too.

Hey, Nancy, I bet unpacking the computer was a great relief I really like the colors and the angles and the lighting as Dennis mentions. I think you could take a little off of the top without losing the impact of the image but I like it as it is. I'm glad you're settling in.

A most creative image with strong lines and color.

This is very cool! Was the effect all done with the software or did it start as an in-camera blur? Interesting that it's not obvious - to me, anyway.

Diane, this started as an in camera blur.

I thought it must be, but it's so intriguing because of the sharp edges. Possibly the camera movement was along the edge, and probably emphasized by processing -- a surprising and very cool result!

Perfect title. I love the "hair." That story always intrigued me. Beautiful colors that have their own unique shape and complement each other.
Great that you are now connected to the internet! I'm impressed that you can post images while moving and unpacking.

A beautiful composition. I think that not knowing (or understanding) how you achieved it adds to the charm.

I really like the light and the colours. The flecks of the gold lines are beautiful.

Thank you everyone! Anita, sometimes I just cannot face another box to unpack!
