    Default Bosque Blast-Off

This might be about the closest I ever come to a Bosque blast-off. I used a texture for the BG that I shot, applied another texture, poster edges, SEP > Pro Contrast, and D/L Center. Then the sign of Route 66, couldn't decide if it was too cheesy or not. Some brushes for the birds too:)

Hey, Jackie, I think it's very cool and creative. I hope you get to go to Bosque - it's so beautiful and ever changing. As awesome as the snow geese blast offs are I think I like the red (and yellow) winged blackbird blast offs the best. The Rt. 66 sign is a clever addition.

I really like your sky and applaud your creativity. The birds seem a bit stark to me, so I lightened them a bit with the help of a luminosity mask and liked that better, but that could just be me. I think the Route 66 sign was a good idea because it provides some depth, and the tones in the sky nicely point toward it. Maybe because of the relative size of it and the birds, I wonder about having it in front of the flock. The second sign at an angle puzzles me a bit but that could be a good thing.

To me the second post represents motion and time as the birds fly on their migratory route. Obscure and a non-sequitur perhaps, but I always think that things should be left up to the viewer, and in this case, it made you look a little closer, which might be a good thing. I think so much is imagination, and in that vein many interpretations possible.

I like this Jackie, it does have that blastoff feel for sure and the sky is a really nice background for the birds. I think the signs are cool and I even got the migration bit... Humans migrated down Route 66 to California and most of them stayed here.
