    Not exactly my cup of tea but with the recent drought raptor population has declined in this area. I found this little Merganser in the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco last weekend.

    Shot with the 1DX and 300 f/2.8II + 2X III. ISO 1600, f/5.6 at 1/640sec. hand held. processed with DPP4. The green is reflection from the trees

    Great display of colours on this image. IQ very nice and low POV works well. I like the clean waterline and reflections on this one

    Wonderful image of handsome bird with lovely hair do.

    Not an easy species to get close to over here. Awesome details and great green colours in the water. I like the comp. I get the feeling the image may need a bit of CW rotation?

    HI Arash lovely colors and tones . Like the green FG and BG a nice color contrast to the subject . If this was mine i would try to reduce the sharpening in the HL , does look a bit too crunchy for my taste .

    Beautiful little Hoodie hen, just lovely against the green reflection. Good pose. I, too, feel it's just a bit crunchy.

    Thanks everyone, I didn't sharpen this frame much the head looks a bit sharper because of direct sunlight
