    Chaffinch (Male)
Things are moving at my pools at last. Some tree clearance has been done and this has let more sunlight in which can be a problem. As in this shot- sun in the back and bird in shade at the front of the pool.
Notice the birds foot. This is a sigh of the finch disease -bumble foot- which has been causing problems over here. I thought the detail on this was quite good.

Great looking image John. Lovely details on the bird and he gave you a good HA. Good work

I have noticed a few birds with a similar illness on their feet. I recently saw a few dunnocks with it. They say dirty bird tables and the like can cause it

Yes -its often a lt worse than what you can see on ths one. Bird feeders and the suff accumulating beneath they reckon. This particular one is specific to chaffinches, butother species have there own strain I believe.

nice natural image, good pose and details. A bit more room at the bottom and lower angel would be better.

    Thanks all
Amir -thanks-can't get lower as its a long standing permanent hde which I can't alter without re building the whole thing.
. Also I don't do low angle water stuff as when the birds are in the water there is a reflection problem. You can see this ona lot of my earlierpsts.
    Cheers
    John
