    Taken this morning,these birds travel from Africa to uk,to breed on our moors,this was taken in a disused quarry,it was in the shade,with the sun coming up and peeking through the rocks,back lighting it slightly,giving it a almost sepia effect.cannon500mm,IS,L,F4,tripod,7Dmk1,crop,sharp ened,toch of levels,iso800,F5.6,1/250S.

    Hi Chris. Yes good to see them back. I always think the duller females are more photogenic the the males for some reason. As Will says- great perch. Nice all around. Has prompted me to get off my backside and get to my local site.

    The perch and BG are really nice, and the soft light really helped here. I like the look back but I wish for more head turn towards us

    Hi Chris,a little more head turn would have been a bonus but still a very nice image,do like the stormy looking BG.
