    Hello everyone.
This is my first post here. The image was taken in Firooz kooh area, Iran.
    I hope you enjoy it.
    Thank you for any feedback.

Hi Amir - Welcome to BPN and the Wildlife Forum. Nice first post but it would help if you would tell us a little about your post processing as well. What were you hoping to do with the image? As posted, you do not have an embedded color profile which can result in a color shift depending on the browser. It is best to embed a sRGB profile for consistent viewing on the web. I like the coming at you pose. This looks like you were close unless it is a large crop. The low pov works well. You can bring out a little more detail on the nose. I would back off on the sharpening on the fox and the detailed snow as it does look a little crunchy. What did you want to do with the bg? The whites in the bg are blown. I would soften them slightly even if you wanted a sort of high key look to the bg.

It would be great to have your thoughts about other people's images too. We recommend posting comments on at least 3-5 other wildlife images each time you post one of your own. It helps us all to get to know each other and your photographic vision, fosters a sense of community and allows us all to learn from each other. The best way to get the most out of BPN IMO is to actively participate.

Looking forward to more of your images.

    TFS,
    Rachel

A warm welcome to BPN Wildlife, Amir

What a lovely fox and you got some nice eye contact there, I like the framing and - just like Rachel above - I too think the POV is great.

Here's my attempt to get more detail on the subject's nose...cute and dark as it is, one would like to see those nostrils:)

I did try to soften your sharpening a bit, not sure I did a good job though. The snow around the subject had a tad of blue cast, which I tried to remove. Should you like the other members to play around with this, kindly upload a jpg version of the original. I think this would make a lovely Black and White conversion too.

Would like to see you do an RP here, just go gently on those sliders - whether it's Lightroom or Photoshop or both. More detail, less sharpening, try not touch the contrast slider - this is precisely what I was told when I posted my first images on BPN

Great to have you here, looking forward to more images from you, please try find some time to look at our posts and let us know what you think

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Amir , a warm welcome to BPN ! Lovely image to start with , Agree with the sharpening issue looks quite crunchy but a great angle here, some space on the left would have made the dominant eye more towards the center. And by the way what is that red thing coming out of its mouth ? is it blood through injury or flesh from its meal ?

Thank you very much for your kind comments and I'm really happy to be hear.

Rachel, sorry for late reply. Actually the reason of delay was I wanted to share the Original Photo, but my old PC was completely broken down and it will take some days to fix it. I haven't done any special PP. Just omit some small particles and a bit light correction. I like the high key like BG and did not try to change it. I should learn many things about pp and will share the original to see others idea about what we can do about this photo. Additionally I always have problem in resizing & sharpening to upload images.

Gabriela, Thank you for you time. You reach to a better result.

Haseeb, that is flesh of meal maybe from a miserable hens of neighbor gardens. I increase the saturation of blood to be more visible, but I think it became abit unnatural.

D.Robert, This is a red fox in winter Plumage.

    Andreas, Thank you.

    Another warm welcome from me!!
I like the pose you captured, and I always enjoy seeing wildlife in the snow (something I am unfamiliar with personally, living in South Africa).
I like Gabriela's repost a bit more than your original. I am looking forward to your contributions on other images too

    Morkel, thanks a lot.
friends, please check the Original duplicate of the photo, with about 25% crop. I'm eager to know others ideas about what else we can do with it.

That's quite interesting about the change of pelage in the winter in this fox. I researched red fox in college....

Thank you for sharing the original, Amir. I think you went a bit over the top with PP work the first time around. Work selectively, try not to apply the changes to the whole image. The snow looks good to me and some nice detail there. The whites also look good. Nose, mouth and eyes need to be opened up a little - a tad too dark, kind of muted. Some burn and dodge would benefit the fur, and try not sharpen as much as you did the first time. Give us an RP - surprise us, you do have a decent image to start with

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Hi Amir

My Version- TK basic, D&B layer, Selective lighting of eyes, selective sharpening for web.
Did not want any detail on snow, focussed on fox.
Histogram almost to the right, got some detail in those blacks..
Not to sharp to begin with, tried my best. (maybe crop to big, where was focal point? On Eye, I hope..)
    WDYT?
    Andre
    Regards

    Andre.

Thank you friends for your useful comments and time.
Andre, It was center focal point and on the fox forehead.
    Regards
