    Default Cactus Wren Singing

The Cactus Wren was one of my target birds on my recent trip to Arizona. It turned out that they aren't very difficult to find -- not a shy bird by any means -- so I got a number of frames from various locations. This is probably my favorite.

Lovely high key image. It looks like a painting. Like the composition the sharpness of the bird and the perch with the bit of foliage on the tip

    Very nicely done

Striking image, Bill. Not only is the bird remarkably beautiful, but what a fitting thorny striped perch. Like the touch of green and muted red leaves. Well done.

A pretty cool image Bill. I like the high key look and the splash of green in the branch adds a lot. The calling pose and the details look great. The thorns and the texture of the perch is cool. A lower angle would have been nice but otherwise a beauty. Well done

Bill, love the sharpness and the calling pose, with a little colour to add interest.

I like the open beak, sharpness, composition and the perch really makes the image for me. Well done Bill.

Excellent pose, perch, exp. and details Bill! I love how the feet have grabbed the perch at two different point, agree with Dave re. lower shooting angle but a great frame as is
