    Default Horned Grebe - Nonbreeding

    Went to a local lake today and with blustering wind gusts, their were a few undisturbed Horned Grebes, Breeding and Nonbreeding surfing and fishing the rough waters. C&C welcome.

    D810, Nikon 80-400mm + 1.4 tc @ 550mm, 1/2000, f 8.0, ISO 560, Hand Held.

    Nice and sharp on the bird with a good look back head angle. I am curious: are you limited to the center AF point with that combo or is this a good crop to get the bird out of the middle? a

    Thanks Artie. Yes one is limited to the center AF point with this combo.
