Great image Robert with a awesome Bg and very lovely composition. The exposure and details as well as the pose are excellent and the insect is a wonderful bonus !! thanks for sharing.

I love shrikes and especially with bugs. Would like to see the head turned more towards you and a bit more room on the right. Exposure looks great and really nice BG.

The bird is sharp, the background is very nice, and the insect is a big plus, Robert. I would agree with Robert about the head angle and the crop.

Beautiful crisp image--bug bonus! I agree a head turn a it would be nice--but not too much!

Great details, exposure control and BG. The snack adds to it. I would also add some space at the right.

This is very nice with a nice head pose. I would add more room to the right!

Hate to disagree with everyone here but IMHO with the bird looking left I think leaving more space for the bird to look into the frame is entirely appropriate... A centered bird would be looking out of the frame instead of into it??

Great pose and detail. I wish only to see some more "air" from the right - a simple cloning of the left side will work fine.

I am not qualified to give any advice or critique but I really like this image. I wouldn't change a thing. The pose, the comp, the background, the exposure all look perfect to me. In my experience, shrikes are quite wary and difficult to photograph. This is great.
