British robins are so pretty.
What an interesting picture. My eye travels all over the image in a good way.
There are so many different compositions that could be considered for the image.
I like this pano and I could see a version with about an inch off the left hand side.
I like the grasses and moss.
Beautiful reflection in the pool as well.
If this is a set-up I would consider removing the third flat stone from the top. It is a bit bright and pulls my eye away from the bird a bit.
I would also trim the OOF branch in the BG to the right of the robin.
For this image, I would consider blurring it a bit to soften the edges.
All in all, a very nice image!

Hi Jon, I quite like the set-up, is this an infinity pool in the green?
I like the 'classic' inquisitive head turn of the Robin, almost listening out. If you have it, then a bit more below would be good to balance the top, I just feel it's a bit tight, but do like the choice of crop and the subject being slightly off centre. Question, are the pebbles just on the waters edge that blue, just pulling back the Cyan & Blue I think may give a better rendition (selectively masked), likewise in the area of the Robin which skirts around the edge of the red breast.
Now it might be 'these old eyes Jon' but under the bottom of the three larger stones in the centre, there looks like a 'cloned' patch, it the edging that catches my eyes????
Look forward to more.

Nice setting, excellent pose and reflection. Framing looks good but would look better by adding 1cm of canvas to the bottom.

Hi Jonathan - What a beautiful frame with a gorgeous reflection. The cocked head pose works well. Good suggestions above for making an already excellent frame even better.

Hi Jon
What an interesting shot.! Sorry but it doesn't workfor me. Not just the reflection !!! It just looks a little unreal somehow, and the reflection of the bottom stone and under it looks a bit odd. The Robin is fine.Just my persoanal view. Cheers
John

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Gail I agree with your comments but the refection pool is a set up in my friend's garden and I didn't feel at liberty to readjust but your comments are valid. Steve these tired eyes are in good nick! I should have topped up the pool prior to photography I ended up cloning in a bit of edging under the stones to hide the liner. John no messing with the reflection all entirely genuine.
On refection (no pun intended) I should have mentioned there were two acorns which I patched out along with their reflections - this was to attract a jay which it did and I didn't get a shot worth keeping!

Jonathan, if your friend doesn't mind, I would take the opportunity and keeping going back, you just never know and I really like the low POV which is for me, one of the main attractions of the image. I would just check on the position of the sun, light doesn't look harsh, but a bright, early or late might give some nice conditions and bolster that reflection. Adding a Graduate filter for the water may also give some tonal balance and depth too??

I like this one a lot. The colors, details and the reflection framed by the greenery is beautiful. I like the pano composition you chose to. Very nice

I love this as presented. The reflection is totally amazing. The only thing that bugs me at all is that the nearest large light-toned stone is so o-o-f..... 1/250 sec. at f/8 might have improved it. All in all, stunning.

Very nice Jon. Something different from the usual Robin posts. I love the pose, it looks as though the robin is looking at its own reflection
Thanks for sharing
